Let me just be clear, right out of the gates. I think the Avs need a player like AJ Greer on the team. Maybe its actually AJ Greer, maybe it’s a guy like him with a different name and number. The point is that the role player is not dead. Not if you define role player as an agitator who can be an enforcer, but also plays the game of hockey with edge, passion, and emotion.
