Shoot or dare
In an attempt to increase league wide scoring the NHL is working with a Montreal start-up to implement drinking games into the NHL overtime periods.
If enacted coaches could throw a flag on the ice after a basketball inspired shot clock goes off and demand that the player shoot or have to tell an embarrassing story about their childhood before giving the puck up to the opposing team.
While the GM’s are stilling debating over the new rules there seems to be widespread concerns from the non-english players around the league. Translators speaking for these players said that the general consensus was that American’s have lost their fucking minds.
